2010년 2월 Chad를 방문하기 전까지는 차드라는 나라가 있다는 사실조차도 모르고있던 저희 부부는 한 단체의 우물파기 project에 참여하여 우물 2호를 파기 위하여 그들의 배려로 저는 Africa의 Chad를 방문하였습니다. 그리고 사막의 한 복판에서 하나님의 부르심을 받았습니다. 그리고 아내도 기쁨으로 함께 순종함으로 응답하였습니다.

차드(Tchad)

* 차드는 아프리카 내륙 중앙의 사하라 사막의 남쪽 중앙에 위치한 세계의 21 번째이며 California 의 3 배, 남,북한의 6.5 배 크기입니다.
* 프랑스어와 아랍어를 공식으로 사용하는 180 여 종족으로 이루어고 120 여 언어를 사용하는 천 이백만의 인구를 가진 나라입니다.
* 내전과 가난으로 하루 한끼를 먹는 나라,
* 대부분이 모슬렘이며 캐톨릭이 8 %,복음적 기독교인 7%, 이단종교와 정령숭배자들이 나머지입니다

선교사

임헌진 선교사님은 여고 시절 예수님을 개인적으로 만난 뒤 상록수를 꿈꾸며 섬김의 꿈을 키워 왔습니다. 남을 대접하기를 즐겨 하는 임 선교사님의 집에는 그래서 언제나 음식이 끊어지지 않습니다. 가르침과 섬김의 talent를 타고난 그녀는 부드럽지만 강직한 성품을 가지고 있어서 차드의 사람들을 주님께로 인도하는 꿈을 가지고 왔습니다.
